Welcome to the MSc Program “Precision Medicine in the Development of Mental Health”, a postgraduate program offered by the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the Democritus University of Thrace, and a core component of a Dual Degree Master’s Program in collaboration with Columbia University.

The Program is designed at the forefront of Precision Psychiatry and Human Genetics, integrating Genetic Counseling, Neuroscience, and Clinical Practice to address the growing need for personalized approaches in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders across the lifespan.
Rooted in the rapidly evolving field of Precision Medicine, the curriculum combines genetics, biomarkers, multi-omics, neuroimaging, digital health tools, and translational neuroscience into a comprehensive, clinically oriented training framework.

In addition, bridging courses ensure a smooth interdisciplinary transition and full integration into the fields of Psychiatry, Genetics, and Genetic Counseling within a highly international academic environment.
